Equity Plot

Portfolio Analyzer Equity Plot

Once the analysis has been performed, the first observation of results is normally the Equity Plot. The upper bound of the light green area shows the overall equity curve and the excursions into the dark green area show the cash utilization in the trading account.

A variety of other plots can be selectively superimposed on this display. In this case we have chosen to display how an index tracking strategy (here the NASDAQ composite index) has performed relative to the system being analyzed. The lower curve represents the available buying power in the account; when the available cash spikes down to this line the account is at full margin.
